While some of these settings might seem (and are) a bit technical and advanced, others are pretty straight forward and easily managed.
We always make sure your site is set up with the essential project settings upon launch, but some of these settings we might leave to you as they could be related to elements such as the work of third party vendors, emerging plan changes down the line or new hosting details.
Here are some of the important projects settings you should know how to manage and edit yourself.
Step 1: SEO
- Go to the "Settings" icon in the left-hand sidebar and select "SEO"
- Fill in the fields for the page title, description, and social media sharing settings
- Save your changes
Step 2: Hosting
- Go to the "Settings" icon in the left-hand sidebar and select "Hosting"
- Set up custom domains, SSL certificates, and redirect rules as needed
- Save your changes
Step 3: Billing
- Go to the "Settings" icon in the left-hand sidebar and select "Billing"
- Ensure that your payment information and subscription plan are up to date
- Save your changes
Step 4: Favicon
- Go to the "Settings" icon in the left-hand sidebar and select "Assets"
- Upload a favicon image that is at least 32 x 32 pixels in size
- Go to the "Settings" icon in the left-hand sidebar and select "SEO"
- Click "Upload" under the Favicon section and select the image you uploaded
- Save your changes
